Chronos’ Sickle
Individual works
Each installment in this series pays homage to Chronos as a personification of time and the scythe: his tool of choice. Including some presence of blades, keys, clock hands, or other pointed / directional objects fanned out in various configurations that riff on the aesthetic of abstracted clocks and ancient sundials.
Embodying the bold defiance, radicality and mutual aid of punk subcultures of the 1980s / 1990s, these contributions present a magick assortment of tools that may help us defiantly shape, measure, or traverse through the throes of unwieldly time. Abundantly hopeful in thinking about the sickle as a tool for harvesting rather than death’s reaping.
