Situated at the centre of our solar system, the Sun is 109 times the size of earth, and 4.603 Billion years old. Woven into mythology, storytelling and oral tradition; it is a witness to the life it begets. Featuring works by Marina Fathalla, Lamis Haggag, Lauren Lavery, and Mehrnaz Rohbakhsh, Sentient Sun proposes artworks that access scientific, phenomenal, mythological, and personal explorations of the Sun. The sun’s transformative capabilities gather these works; a celestial presence intrinsic to the ever shifting nature of our surroundings, and ourselves.
